Description of the tour
Day 1: Reception
at the airport of Nouakchott by our team. Administrative formalities and transfer
towards our hotel in Atar. Night in the hotel.
Day 2: Departure
of Atar at the beginning of the morning. After several stop for different
point of view of the old pass of Amouegjar, discover the engravings
and néolitiques paintings. Picnics in the shadow of locust trees. We arrive in the city of Ouadane. Visit of the ruins of the old fortified city and discover its history. Night in hotel.
Day 3: We shall cross the plateau which brings us to Guelb Richatt with its enigmatic geological formations. Picnic in the middle of its mountains. After 2 hours of road, we arrive at the palmerais of Tenouchert. We install our bivouac on the dunes surrounding to admire the magnificent sunset.

Day 4 : Early
in the morning, we shall follow the dunes of the Erg Ouarane up to the
oued Chinguetti. The oasis which we cross announce the arrival of the 7th holy city of the Islam: Chinguetti. On the afternoon, visit of library, its old manuscripts, as well as
the old symbolic mosque. Night in a hotel.
Days 5 et 6 hike with camels : The two
days of camel trip are a big tour, crossing oued and big sand dunes. In the middle of this hike in the back of
dromedary, we shall find the oasis of Legueila, between the
dunes of the Erg Ouarane where we shall bivouac. After the delight of the various tints of sand, we arrive in Chinguetti for
a new night in a hotel.
Day 7 : Departure in the direction of the mount Zarga and of the oasis of M'Haireth by
crossing traditional villages. Picnic in the shadow of the dates palm
trees, we arrived at the source of Tergit. We enjoy this magic source stuck between two
mountains, relax and bathe us. Once this accomplished, we return to Atar for a night in a hotel.
Day 8 : Departure for the Airport of Nouakchott. Visit of the port and the famous fish market of the capital, if your ticket return allows it.Please note that the stages of the circuit can be to modify by the guide according to the climatic data.
