Description of the tour
You will arrive, the day before in the hotel Inimi to spend there a night.
Day 1
: Departure
at dawn by car for the track leading to Chinguetti. Visit of
the 7th holy city of the Islam, with its museum and its
library receiving very old manuscripts, its symbolic
mosque and the ruins of the old fortified city. We shall
begin to hike the big dunes of Chinguetti. First landscape of
these tonnes of sand. Return in town for a night in hotel.
Day 2
: The camels team loads our luggage on camels at the beginning
of the morning. Departure with the caravan towards our first picnic:
the oasis of Lageila. You will appreciate the freshness of this oasis
after the 12km of dunes!
On the afternoon, we continue to cross the massifs of dune by crossing
some oueds (river) and their locust trees. We install our
first bivouac at the top of one of these dunes. Imagine the sunset...
Day 3
: We
shall continue our walking between sand and rocky plateau. We take advantage of some locust trees for our picnic.
Landscape shall change all the day, specially the color of the sand.
We collect the wood died from the locust trees of an oued
to install our camp and make pancakes with a fire.
Day 4 : Departure
in the morning for the massif of Zarga. Mountain holding an
enormous dune which we shall climb to appreciate the
landscape. We shall tumble down the slope to picnic in the foot
these dunes.
We change our landscape in the afternoon by rising on the plateau of Oumaizin where we shall discover a new vegetation. Bivouac on the plateau.

Day 5 : We go down the plateau towards the village of Vels by some
tracks drawn by wild camels. Visit of the village of dries stones
and wood of dattes palm trees constructions. Once the ended
visit, we take back our road towards the oued of M' Hreuth.
Day 6
: We
arrive finally on the magnificent palmerais of M' Hreuth. After this, the next and
last stage, the magic source of Terjit! Bathing, freshness and
rest for this last day. A car will pick us at the
end of the day to join Atar and spend last night in the hotel Inimi.

Accommodation: all the bivouacs are made usually under the
stars. A big traditional Moritanien tent will be risen. If you wish
one tent, prevent in advance. In the winter, plan a hot sleeping bag as well as a pants and a fleece, nights are fresh in the desert.
We shall have some nights in local hotel.
There is no TOILETS in the desert!
- The meals: they will be taken in common under the tent or around the fire. The cook prepares his meals with local products.
